Starting at $28/sq ft. Mud-set or Kerdi. Precision-sloped for life.
The shower pan is the foundation everything else sits on. Get it wrong, and you'll be tearing out tile in a few years. Get it right, and your shower drains perfectly, stays bone-dry underneath, and supports whatever tile you choose for decades. That's why custom shower pans are one of our most specialized services — and one of the things we're best known for in Southern Utah.
We build two types of shower pans: traditional mud-set and Schluter Kerdi. Mud-set pans are hand-floated with a mortar bed, sloped precisely to the drain at 1/4" per foot, with a PVC liner underneath. They're the old-school method, proven over decades, and ideal for custom shapes and curbless entries. Kerdi pans use Schluter's prefabricated foam trays or custom-cut Kerdi board, bonded with the same membrane system that waterproofs the walls. Both methods are rock-solid — we help you choose based on your shower design.
Every pan we build is leak-tested before a single tile goes down. We flood-test for 24 hours and inspect every seam. Southern Utah's desert climate means hard water and mineral buildup, so we also ensure proper drain sizing and slope to prevent pooling. Most shower pan installations take 2–3 days before tile begins.

“I texted a photo at 9pm and had my price by 9:10. The shower turned out more beautiful than anything I'd pinned on Pinterest.”
Both are excellent. Mud-set is the traditional method — hand-floated mortar over a PVC liner, ideal for unusual shapes and curbless entries. Kerdi uses Schluter's foam tray system with bonded waterproofing, and installs faster. We'll recommend the best option for your specific shower design.
Every pan is flood-tested for 24 hours before tiling begins. We fill the pan with water and check for any moisture at every seam and corner. We won't tile over a pan until it passes.
Yes. Curbless showers are one of our specialties. They require careful slope engineering across the entire bathroom floor to direct water to the drain. We use linear drains and precisely graded mud beds to make it work.
Mud-set pans take 2–3 days (including cure time). Kerdi pans can be installed in 1–2 days. After that, tile installation begins.
