A fireplace surround is the anchor of your living room — the first thing eyes land on when someone walks through the door. Whether it's floor-to-ceiling stacked stone, clean marble tile with a floating mantel, or a bold herringbone pattern that makes the whole wall a statement piece — this is the project that transforms a room from nice to unforgettable.
We work with natural stone (travertine, marble, slate, quartzite), porcelain tile, handmade brick veneer, and specialty materials like zellige and cement tile. Each material brings a different mood — stacked stone feels rustic and substantial, large-format marble reads modern and elegant, and brick veneer adds classic warmth. We handle the entire installation: surface prep, heat-resistant backer board where needed, tile or stone setting, grouting, and mantel coordination.
Fireplace projects typically take 2–4 days depending on the scope. A simple surround around the firebox is on the shorter end; a full floor-to-ceiling feature wall takes longer. We work with your existing mantel or help source a new one. Every fireplace surround we build is designed to be the room's true centerpiece.

“I texted a photo at 9pm and had my price by 9:10. The shower turned out more beautiful than anything I'd pinned on Pinterest.”
Natural stone (travertine, marble, slate) is the most popular for a high-end look. Porcelain tile is more budget-friendly and comes in stone-look options that are nearly indistinguishable. Brick veneer is great for a classic, rustic feel.
For gas and wood-burning fireplaces, we use heat-resistant cement board as the substrate and ensure all materials and adhesives are rated for the temperatures involved. The tile or stone itself handles heat just fine.
That's one of our favorite projects. A full-height feature wall makes an incredible statement. We handle the full scope — from floor to ceiling, edge to edge.
A standard surround takes 2–3 days. A full floor-to-ceiling feature wall takes 3–5 days depending on the material and complexity.
